Who Am I?
Are you feeling overwhelmed and distressed? Maybe you've found yourself spiraling in a whirlwind of emotions, unsure where to land. You're not alone, and you deserve a safe and supportive space to help you find healing. As a licensed clinical psychologist (IL and IN) with years of experience in maximum-security correctional settings, I am skilled at helping individuals navigate through complex mental health issues. Whether you're grappling with trauma, depression, anxiety, managing anger, exploring gender identity, or not exactly sure what you're feeling, I'm here to listen, understand, and provide you with compassionate guidance.
My background in correctional psychology taught me the importance of meeting folks where they are at. I understand that everyone's journey is unique, and my trauma-informed approach is tailored to your specific needs. I believe in the power of psychoeducation, helping you gain a deeper understanding of your emotions and behaviors.
I understand that opening up to someone and being vulnerable can be scary. My goal is to provide a welcoming, judgment-free space where folks can feel comfortable being their authentic selves. Also, in the words of Lydia Deetz, “I, myself, am strange and unusual.” If you are willing to give this a shot, reach out, and let's see if we'll be a good fit!
I am in-network for United, Aetna, Blue Cross, and Cigna. I can also provide a superbill to assist with reimbursement if needed.
